We are so excited to have a new set of bracelets named after one of Wards hydrocephalus friends!  Eliot and Ward are around the same age.  Elizabeth, Eliot's mom,  has a goal to raise enough money to provide surgery for a child with hydrocephalus in Uganda.  Cure International (cure.org) is the organization that will perform the surgery.  Elizabeth's desire is to raise the needed funds by Eliots first birthday. We wanted to help Eliot and Elizabeth meet their goal.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this collection will go towards Eliot's goal.

Happy First Birthday Ward Asher!!!

Has it really has been a year?! I know many parents think that as their baby turns one. Yet, I can't believe Brian and I have been blessed with the privilege of witnessing the ways the Lord has used Wards life in 1 year. Not only has he exceeded expectations from birth, Ward has touched others for eternity. Because of Ward, life saving surgeries for 10 children with hydrocephalus have been performed in Uganda,  10 children with special needs in Honduras now go to Christian school, and 1 little orphan girl with hydrocephalus in China has received additional care. Those are just a few things that we can count.

So today May 17, 2012 we not only celebrate the first year of Wards life, we look to the Lord who made Ward perfect and are humbled beyond words. - Kim Elrod

Zoe

Zoe

was driving to pick up Whitney from pre-school a few months back. I was at a red light and I felt the Lord tell me to pray for a mother having a baby with hydrocephalus. I did not know anyone pregnant at that time. I just started praying.
I checked my blog about a week later and looked at the history of who had been visiting my page. I found another moms blog address. When I clicked on it guess what? I was on a page of a mom due anytime with her baby girl Zoe. Guess what Zoe was diagnosed with?? Hydrocephalus. I contacted Jennifer, the mom of baby Zoe. She is an amazing woman, so strong in the Lord. I had the chance to talk to Jennifer for the first time last week. I felt a connection to her, as our mothers hearts have both been down the same road with our babies. Zoe has been in and out of the hospital and we have been praying for her. Zoe is just beautiful! She, like Ward is a blessing to all who know her. We wanted to name a bracelet after Zoe and ask you to be in prayer for this sweet baby girl.
